White Sox Top Prospects
Thee Chicago White Sox to prospect standings were yanked from the basement of MLB’s farm systems all the way up to the spotlight after trading stars Chris Sale and Adam Eaton. For the first time in a long, long time, the Chicago White Sox had a consensus top-10 system after acquiring several of baseball’s top prospects like Yoan Moncada and Lucas Giolito – in addition to the on-the-rise arms of Reynaldo Lopez and Michael Kopech.
Over the past few years, the Chicago White Sox have been quick to promote their prospects to heighten their chances of a playoff berth on the backs of a select few talented players, with a mix and match of veterans. But, alas, the Chris Sale era was void of any playoff appearances, and the South Siders decided to blow up their cost-controlled core after a disappointing season where they finished 78-84 despite owning a 23-10 record on May 9.
